Microsoft Announces Chief Operating Officer Transition

Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft, announced on September 12, 2024, the appointment of Carolina Dybeck Happe as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Happe brings extensive experience in driving transformational change, notably from her leadership role at General Electric, where she contributed to the company's significant turnaround. Under her leadership, the Microsoft Business Operations organization in Finance and several key divisions, including the Commerce and Ecosystems organization within Cloud and AI, and the Microsoft Digital organization in Experiences and Devices, will report to her. This strategic alignment is aimed at enhancing Microsoft's capabilities in delivering world-class technology and experiences to partners, customers, and employees as the company embraces continuous improvement.
