During the SLB Digital Forum 2024 in Monaco, Amazon Web Services (AWS), a division of Amazon.com, announced an expanded partnership with SLB. Through this partnership, SLB's DelfiTM digital platform applications will be easier to access, and the adoption of low-carbon solutions for the energy industry will be investigated. AWS will include important technologies from SLB's Delfi platform, such as the Techlog wellbore software and Petrel subsurface software, into its products as part of this arrangement. Moreover, SLB's recently released LumiTM data and AI platform will work with AWS's Energy Data Insights.
In order to handle the dynamic pressures affecting the energy business, digital solutions are essential, according to Rakesh Jaggi, president of Digital and Integration at SLB. AWS's general manager of Energy and Utilities, Howard Gefen, emphasized the company's dedication to advancing efficiency and innovation in the industry while cutting costs. Since its launch in 2006, AWS has grown to become the world's most extensive cloud platform, providing more than 240 services designed for different types of workloads. In line with Amazon's environmental objectives, this agreement is a calculated step toward improving decarbonization efforts and streamlining energy systems.
