Mark Dorsey has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer of Appian, a business process automation pioneer. In his new role, Dorsey will spearhead Appian’s global sales strategy, overseeing direct sales and partnership development to drive the company’s growth. He will report directly to Appian’s CEO, Matt Calkins, and focus on expanding Appian's reach across industries through strategic sales initiatives. The company has also reaffirmed its financial guidance for Q3 and the full year 2024, aligning with previously issued guidance during its Q2 earnings release.
Dorsey brings over 25 years of experience in cloud and SaaS sales, holding prior leadership roles at Oracle, IBM, and Alteryx. Notably, as SVP of Enterprise Cloud Sales at Oracle, Dorsey was instrumental in launching Oracle’s cloud business, transitioning its sales strategy from an on-premise model to cloud-based solutions, and managing sales for Oracle’s top North American accounts. At Oracle, he also led the Retail Vertical and managed cloud and on-premise solutions within the Technology Division for North America, covering key sectors such as database and business intelligence. His extensive expertise aligns with Appian's mission to deliver transformative process automation solutions for enterprises worldwide.
