Samsung Partners with Instacart to Transform Kitchen Experiences

Samsung Electronics has announced a multi-year partnership with Instacart, a prominent grocery technology company, to integrate advanced grocery shopping functionality into its 2025 Bespoke refrigerators. By integrating Samsung’s AI Vision Inside food recognition technology with Instacart’s product-matching API, the collaboration will enable U.S. consumers to shop for groceries directly from their refrigerator screens. This innovative feature will debut on models like the 32” AI Family Hub+ and the 9” AI Home, allowing users to manage food inventory and reorder items seamlessly through Instacart’s platform. Owners of existing AI Family Hub+ refrigerators will also benefit, as Samsung plans to roll out firmware updates to bring this functionality to current devices.

Instacart partners with over 1,500 retailers and facilitates delivery and pickup from more than 85,000 stores across North America. This partnership with Samsung allows users to restock their groceries easily through Instacart’s same-day delivery service. Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of Samsung’s Consumer Experience Team stated that the partnership is designed to simplify home life for users. Daniel Danker, Chief Product Officer at Instacart, emphasized the transformative potential of the integration, calling it a game-changer for how people shop for groceries.
