The public knows a good thing when it sees it, and in 2024, it saw Simpplr, an AI-powered employee experience program, continue its rapid expansion.
In February of 2024, Simpplr brought on Don Wight as Chief Revenue Officer. Formerly the Chief Sales Officer at PAR technology, Wight was brought aboard to help steward the company after it raised $70 million in a funding round led by Sapphire Ventures.
They didn’t stop there.
In June, Simpplr brought aboard Gary Sevounts as Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, Sevounts worked as the CMO at Malwarebytes, and said he was excited to join Simpplr during its “electrifying growth phase.”
It is electrifying, though it’s anything but a shock. Founded in 2014 by CEO Dhiraj Sharma and SVP Piyush Rajput and based in Redwood City, California, Simpplr has offices in India, Canada and the U.K. to serve its international client base.
The company’s impressive growth isn’t about expansion simply for expansion’s sake, either. Chief Technology Officer Parag Kulkarni recently spoke to the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Institute, saying, “One of the biggest challenges Simpplr faces in integrating AI is ensuring that AI enhances, rather than disrupts, the human-centric employee experience we prioritize. Balancing automation with the need for authentic, meaningful communication is crucial.”
Given its rapid growth, it sure seems to be working. Great people with a great product and a moral code: What could be simpler than that?
