Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) and Defense Unicorns have announced a strategic partnership aimed at improving how mission-critical software is delivered to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). SAIC will integrate Defense Unicorns’ Unicorn Delivery Service (UDS) into its software delivery system, allowing applications to be deployed more efficiently across cloud, on-premises, and tactical edge environments. This collaboration seeks to address the DoD’s need for faster, secure, and scalable software deployment amid increasingly complex mission requirements. The partnership will enable the DoD to overcome challenges including fragmented infrastructure and inconsistent security standards, ultimately improving operational readiness and reducing delivery timelines from months to weeks or days.
By implementing UDS as a standard platform, SAIC and Defense Unicorns aim to streamline software deployment and enhance modernization across multiple defense programs. SAIC, with more than 50 years of experience in technology integration, will help scale UDS to meet complex program needs. Defense Unicorns, a defense product company established in 2021, brings technical solutions trusted by branches such as the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, and Space Force. Both organizations will focus on creating a secure and repeatable software delivery model that ensures warfighters receive critical updates and capabilities without delay, contributing to the DoD’s mission success.
