SAP Fioneer: Move Fast and Fix Things

SAP is one of the larger software companies in the world, and like any behemoth, changing directions quickly can be hard. That’s why in 2021, a group of financial experts at SAP realized their clients needed a faster, more flexible partner that could move at their pace, adapting to the fast-changing landscape.

This was the impetus behind the creation of SAP Fioneer, born of a partnership between SAP and Germany private equity firm DEDIQ. SAP Fioneer bills itself as “startup with the weight of a global software company behind it,” and has, in under four years, made its mark on the industry. In November, it backed the launch of Numisma Bank – the first bank to receive a State of Connecticut Innovation Banking Charter, a Federal Reserve Master Account and FedCash Services.

The same month, SAP Fioneer partnered with Fujitsu to collaborate on product planning, development, and marketing, including the development of the Japan Edition of SAP Fioneer Cloud for Insurance. Moving fast and fixing things? That sounds about right.
