Aeris, a provider of AI-enabled cellular IoT solutions, has appointed Aziz Benmalek as its new CEO and Board Director. Benmalek brings more than 20 years of experience in cloud services, cybersecurity, software, and business development. He previously served as President of Sage North America and held leadership roles at Splunk and Microsoft, where he played a key role in building a $4 billion cloud services business. His leadership aims to strengthen Aeris' position in the IoT market and accelerate growth by enhancing the company's IoT platform and connected vehicle solutions.
Aeris operates one of the largest IoT connectivity management platforms, serving 7,000 enterprise customers and managing more than 80 million IoT devices across nearly 200 countries. The company's IoT platform supports industries including automotive, utilities, logistics, healthcare, and manufacturing. Benmalek plans to expand Aeris' market presence by introducing new value-added services, enhancing security, and improving performance to help customers optimize operations and drive returns on investment. Marc Jones, Aeris' Board Chair and co-CEO during the transition, expressed confidence in Benmalek's leadership to guide the company into its next phase of growth.
