Apple has announced a $500 billion investment in the United States over the next four years, aiming to strengthen innovation, manufacturing, and workforce development. The company plans to expand its U.S. research and development, increase its Advanced Manufacturing Fund from $5 billion to $10 billion, and establish a new manufacturing facility in Houston to produce servers for Apple Intelligence. The investment also includes the production of advanced silicon in Arizona, the expansion of data centers in multiple states, and the creation of an academy in Michigan to train workers in modern manufacturing techniques.
As part of this expansion, Apple will hire approximately 20,000 employees, primarily in research and development, artificial intelligence, and silicon engineering. The company will continue supporting education programs and providing resources to organizations that teach coding and technical skills. Apple’s commitment extends to improving data center energy efficiency and advancing its Apple Intelligence infrastructure. The investment highlights the company’s focus on technology, job creation, and manufacturing, while also reinforcing its financial contributions, having paid more than $75 billion in U.S. taxes in the last five years.
