Asana Appoints Dan Rogers as CEO, Succeeding Co-Founder Dustin Moskovitz

Work management platform Asana named Dan Rogers as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 21, 2025. He will succeed Dustin Moskovitz, the company’s Co-Founder and current CEO, who will transition to the role of Chair. Rogers brings decades of leadership experience from roles at LaunchDarkly, Rubrik, and ServiceNow, where he played a key role in scaling enterprise SaaS operations. Rogers  stated, “I’m honored to lead Asana during this period of extraordinary transformation and build on the incredible foundation Dustin and the team have created.” Moskovitz noted the strategic importance of the leadership change, saying, “This moment represents an unprecedented opportunity for AI to evolve the way people work, and Dan is the leader with the experience, vision, and expertise needed to guide Asana into its next chapter.”

Under Moskovitz’s tenure, Asana has grown to serve more than 170,000 customers, including over 85% of Fortune 500 companies, and now generates more than $700 million in annual revenue. The company recently introduced AI Studio to enhance work coordination between people and artificial intelligence. “We are thrilled to welcome Dan as our next CEO.
