AstroNova Names Darius G. Nevin as Interim CEO Following Gregory Woods’ Resignation

AstroNova has appointed Darius G. Nevin as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of Gregory A. Woods from both the CEO role and the Board of Directors. The company’s Board will begin a formal search for a permanent successor, considering both internal and external candidates. Richard S. Warzala, Lead Independent Director of AstroNo, commented, “These actions reflect an acceleration of our succession plans, and are fortunate to have had Darius recently join the Board and to step into this interim role.” Warzala noted that Nevin is well-positioned to navigate ongoing challenges, including the MTEX acquisition and organizational changes within the Product Identification segment.

Nevin brings extensive public company leadership experience, including his prior role as CFO of Protection One, where he led a successful financial turnaround. He currently serves on the Boards of Alarm.com and Psychemedics Corporation and previously served on the Board of WCI Communities until its acquisition in 2017. Nevin holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
