Cognyte Software, a provider of investigative analytics software, has appointed Ronny Lempel as its new Chief Technology Officer. Lempel brings more than 25 years of experience across multiple technology fields, including Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, search engines, and recommendation systems. His previous leadership roles include positions at Google Ads, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, Outbrain, and Yahoo. In addition to his industry expertise, Lempel’s background in a military intelligence unit enhances his ability to drive AI innovation. As CTO, he will lead Cognyte’s technology initiatives, focusing on advancing AI capabilities and delivering solutions that support law enforcement, national security, and intelligence agencies.
Cognyte’s CEO, Elad Sharon, highlighted the importance of Lempel’s appointment in strengthening the company’s commitment to anticipating technology trends and supporting customers’ investigative needs. Lempel expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Cognyte’s team to deliver scalable solutions that adapt to future technological advancements. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where he has also taught advanced courses. Lempel has published more than 45 research papers and holds 23 U.S. patents.
