Dhiraj Sharma launched Simpplr with a simple but powerful goal: to make the experience of work more human. “We believed that everyone deserved a better experience at work,” Sharma wrote, reflecting on Simpplr’s founding mission.
Simpplr began as an intranet solution, but under Sharma’s leadership, it has grown into an AI-powered employee experience platform. As remote and hybrid work became the norm, Sharma anticipated that organizations needed tools that helped them feel connected and inspired. “We’ve focused on building a platform where employees can flourish,” he said.
This belief in meaningful, people-first design is evident in Simpplr’s major moves over the past year. The company acquired Socrates.ai, an AI-powered virtual employee assistant, to reduce complexity in everyday workflows from onboarding to payroll. “We’re applying AI in the work world by taking the essence of human interaction and addressing real challenges,” he said.
Under Sharma’s leadership, Simpplr now serves over 1,000 customers across 12 countries in EMEA region, including public sector giants like the NHS, and recently earned approval for the UK government’s G-Cloud 14 framework. A $70 million Series D funding round, led by Sapphire Ventures, further validated its position as a category leader in employee experience technology.
Sharma has remained a steady, intentional leader—one who credits his team and customers for the company’s progress. “Logos, colors, and fonts don’t make a brand… A truly great brand is predicated on a purpose.”
