Greentown Labs, a nonprofit climate-tech incubator, has announced the appointment of Georgina Campbell Flatter as its incoming Chief Executive Officer. Flatter brings extensive experience in climate and energy industries, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurship. She joins Greentown from TomorrowNow.org, a nonprofit she co-founded to connect climate technologies with vulnerable communities. Under her leadership, TomorrowNow secured funding from major partners, including the Gates Foundation, and provided climate solutions to millions of farmers in Africa. Flatter has also held leadership roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she influenced innovation programs for organizations including XPRIZE, the World Bank, and the U.S. Department of Energy. She will work closely with Interim CEO Kevin Dutt during the transition and will continue serving on Greentown’s Board of Directors.
Greentown Labs supports startups working on climate and energy solutions. Since its founding in 2011, it has grown into the largest climate-tech incubator in North America, housing more than 200 startups and supporting over 575 companies. Flatter's hiring symbolizes the next stage of Greentown's growth, as it promotes collaboration and innovation in climate technologies.
