The new ₹24 crore funding aims to support innovative projects by NGOs across India, with a focus on critical water sustainability and biodiversity conservation. The Water category, a new addition, will tackle pressing water scarcity issues in rural areas by promoting conservation, efficient usage, and sustainable practices. With a strong emphasis on ecological biodiversity, the new Biodiversity category will drive initiatives that can create measurable and lasting environmental impact.
The enhanced HCLTech Grant initiative also reflects the company's long-term dedication to advancing water and biodiversity stewardship in India. By funding four-year projects with ₹5 crore grants and supporting runner-up NGOs with ₹50 lakh for two-year projects, the initiative is set to accelerate meaningful change in rural communities.
