HCLTech, through its HCLFoundation, has significantly increased its commitment to rural development with a 45% increase in the annual outlay for its HCLTech Grant initiative. The new ₹24 crore funding aims to support innovative projects by NGOs across India, with a focus on critical water sustainability and biodiversity conservation. The Water category, a new addition, will tackle pressing water scarcity issues in rural areas by promoting conservation, efficient usage, and sustainable practices. With a strong emphasis on ecological biodiversity, the new Biodiversity category will drive initiatives that can create measurable and lasting environmental impact.
The enhanced HCLTech Grant initiative also reflects the company's long-term dedication to advancing water and biodiversity stewardship in India. By funding four-year projects with ₹5 crore grants and supporting runner-up NGOs with ₹50 lakh for two-year projects, the initiative is set to accelerate meaningful change in rural communities. Through this expanded initiative, HCLTech is reaffirming its role in addressing vital environmental challenges, as it continues to support its ongoing work in education, healthcare, and community development, all in alignment with global sustainable development goals.
