KT Corporation and Microsoft Corp. have announced a five-year, multibillion-dollar partnership to advance artificial intelligence and cloud technologies in Korea. This collaboration, unveiled on September 29, 2024, will focus on key areas, including the development of customized AI solutions, Korean sovereign cloud services, and AI transformation for Korean industries. KT will leverage Microsoft’s infrastructure and AI expertise, while Microsoft will support KT’s efforts to modernize its IT infrastructure through Azure services. The partnership will also include the development of KT-custom AI models using Microsoft’s technology, further strengthening AI research and innovation in Korea.
