LinkedIn has announced the appointment of Jessica Jensen as its Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer (CMSO), a newly established role. Jensen will oversee global marketing, brand, and corporate strategy, reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer Dan Shapero. This announcement comes eight months after the departure of LinkedIn’s former Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Melissa Selcher. Jensen, currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Indeed, brings extensive experience from her roles at Facebook, Apple, Yahoo, and OpenTable. LinkedIn described her as an expert in the B2B marketplace who will help drive the company’s growth.
In a LinkedIn post, Jensen expressed admiration for the platform’s evolution over the past two decades and her excitement to expand its reach to the next billion users worldwide. As the platform marks its 20th anniversary, its consistent focus on being a talent, advertising, and educational hub aligns with its mission. Jensen’s appointment reinforces LinkedIn’s commitment to innovation and delivering value to professionals and organizations globally.
