Manychat, a company helping businesses automate customer chats, has raised $140 million in a Series B funding round led by Summit Partners. The investment follows steady growth, with Manychat now serving around 1.5 million users across 170 countries. Manychat’s CEO and Co-Founder, Mike Yan, shared that the company sends billions of messages annually across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. The new investment will be used to enhance research and development, especially in integrating more artificial intelligence into its offerings, as well as to strengthen the company’s global sales, marketing, and support efforts.
Founded in 2015, Manychat started with Telegram and grew quickly after Facebook opened Messenger APIs. It enables businesses to build automated chat flows without coding. Manychat stands out by driving customer actions like purchases or subscriptions. The new funding will help Manychat strengthen its position as more business activity moves into social messaging platforms. With the growing shift toward social commerce, Manychat is positioning itself to lead the next wave of business messaging and expects further growth by incorporating AI features into its platform.
