In partnership with leading companies including TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL, NVIDIA is commissioning over one million square feet of space to produce and test Blackwell AI chips and supercomputers. Production of the Blackwell chips has already begun at TSMC’s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to produce up to half a trillion dollars' worth of AI infrastructure in the United States over the next four years. To support this initiative, NVIDIA will also rely on Amkor and SPIL for packaging and testing operations in Arizona. The company will use its AI and robotics technologies, including NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac GR00T, to design and operate its manufacturing plants. According to CEO Jensen Huang, “Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency.” The expansion is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and contribute significantly to long-term economic security.
