Palantir Technologies has announced a new collaboration with The Nuclear Company to create NOS, a specialized AI-driven software system designed to improve the construction of nuclear power plants in the U.S. The NOS platform, built on Palantir’s Foundry, will provide real-time data, predictive analytics, and regulatory automation to help manage the complex construction of nuclear facilities. It will offer key capabilities such as adaptive scheduling, supply chain tracking, and digital twin modeling using live sensor data. “This partnership marks the first time Palantir’s software will be used to help power the next generation of nuclear energy infrastructure. By integrating our operating system with The Nuclear Company’s ambitious vision, we are laying the foundation for a new era of resilient, intelligent and secure energy systems in the United States and beyond,” stated Mike Gallagher, Head of Defense at Palantir.
The effort will be part of Palantir’s Warp Speed initiative, embedding engineering teams directly with The Nuclear Company’s workforce. The project comes at a critical time, with the U.S. significantly behind China in new nuclear capacity. In May 2025, President Donald J. Trump issued executive orders targeting 400 GW of nuclear capacity by 2050. Jonathan Webb, CEO of The Nuclear Company, emphasized the strategic importance of the effort, stating, “NOS is how we finally break the cycle of delays, deliver a new energy future, and protect America’s nuclear leadership from China, so we don’t lose it like we did manufacturing decades ago.”
