SAP SE has partnered with Ambipar, a global leader in environmental solutions operating in 40 countries, to introduce Net Zero as a Service, aimed at supporting customers in their efforts to combat climate change. Announced on September 24, 2024, this collaboration combines SAP’s robust cloud technology with Ambipar’s expertise in carbon credit generation and trading. The new service will equip SAP customers with comprehensive solutions throughout their decarbonization journeys, allowing them to manage and offset carbon emissions effectively. With SAP's AI-enabled solutions, businesses will be able to establish a unified data foundation for carbon management and make informed financial and environmental decisions.
As part of this initiative, Ambipar is currently piloting Net Zero as a Service within its operations to align with its ambitious growth targets. The service will eventually be available to SAP's global customer base through the SAP Store, enabling seamless access to internationally certified carbon credits via Ambipar’s technology platform, AMBIFY. Adriana Aroulho, President of SAP Brazil, emphasized the importance of this partnership in helping organizations become future-ready while effectively managing their environmental impact and driving innovation in the low-carbon economy.
