SAP, a worldwide leader in business AI and corporate apps, has appointed Sebastian Steinhaeuser to its Executive Board, where he will lead the newly formed Strategy & Operations division. This board area will focus on driving SAP’s strategy, streamlining internal operations, and enhancing collaboration between strategy and global marketing. Steinhaeuser, who joined SAP in 2020, previously served as Chief Strategy Officer and later as Chief Strategy & Operating Officer. His new role will build on his experience overseeing business operations, IT, and commercial functions. The SAP Supervisory Board has also extended the contract of Thomas Saueressig, head of Customer Services & Delivery, for another three years, recognizing his contributions to SAP’s cloud transformation efforts.
SAP has also announced the formation of an Extended Board, which will include senior executives including newly appointed CTO Philipp Herzig and Co-Chief Revenue Officers Jan Gilg and Emmanuel Raptopoulos. This advisory group will support SAP’s AI-first, Suite-first strategy and ensure efficient execution of key initiatives. Herzig, who also serves as Chief AI Officer, will oversee technology strategy, innovation, and research. Gilg and Raptopoulos will co-lead the Customer Success organization, focusing on strengthening customer engagement. These leadership changes align with SAP’s commitment to business transformation and operational efficiency.
