Gaurab Chakrabarti, CEO and Co-Founder of Solugen, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology (VCAT) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The appointment recognizes Solugen’s focus on advancing sustainable solutions and contributing to national efforts in technological progress. The VCAT is a federal advisory committee that provides strategic recommendations on NIST’s policies, budget priorities, and research initiatives. Its annual report to Congress informs advancements in cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, quantum science, artificial intelligence, and advanced materials. Chakrabarti expressed his commitment to supporting policies that strengthen industrial resilience and U.S. manufacturing capabilities.
