Synaptics and Google Join Forces to Advance Edge AI for IoT

Synaptics has announced a partnership with Google to enhance Edge AI capabilities for the Internet of Things (IoT). The collaboration will integrate Google’s machine learning (ML) core, compliant with the multi-level intermediate representation (MLIR) compiler, with Synaptics’ Astra hardware. This union aims to accelerate the development of AI-driven IoT devices that process multiple data modalities, including vision, voice, and sound, allowing for context-aware computing. These advancements will improve interactivity in various applications, including wearables, home appliances, entertainment, and industrial systems.
