TensorWave has secured $100 million in Series A funding to expand its AMD-based AI infrastructure offerings. The funding round was co-led by Magnetar and AMD Ventures, with additional backing from Maverick Silicon, Nexus Venture Partners, and new investor Prosperity. This investment follows an earlier SAFE round and supports TensorWave’s rapid growth, including the deployment of over 8,000 AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs to build a large-scale AI training cluster. The company projects a year-end revenue run rate exceeding $100 million, representing a 20-fold increase from the previous year. Darrick Horton, CEO of TensorWave, commented, "This $100M funding propels TensorWave's mission to democratize access to cutting-edge AI compute."
With this funding, TensorWave plans to grow its team, enhance operations, and accelerate the rollout of its GPU-powered infrastructure. By focusing on memory-efficient and high-performance systems, TensorWave seeks to offer an alternative to traditional infrastructure constraints. AMD’s involvement signals its broader strategy to make its technologies more accessible for large-scale AI applications. Mathew Hein, SVP Chief Strategy Officer & Corporate Development, AMD, highlighted, “TensorWave is a key player in the growing AMD AI ecosystem. Their expanding portfolio of AI and enterprise customers coupled with their expertise in deploying AMD compute infrastructure is driving demand for access to their cutting-edge AI compute services. We're excited to support their next phase of growth.”
