Kevin Kemmerer started his career at the legendary Salomon Brothers firm, and now, more than 30 years after his start, is the Chief Executive Officer of WorkWave, with a mission to deliver innovative software and fintech solutions to the companies that keep the world safe, clean and beautiful.
Prior to joining WorkWave, Kemmerer was the CEO of Brightly Software, an enterprise asset management company, for nearly five years until he landed a $1.6 billion deal to sell the company to Siemens. Appointed to lead the 25-year-old company, then called Dude Solutions, in 2020, Kemmerer stewarded the firm through the COVID-19 outbreak and eventually to its new home in 2022.
He remained CEO of Brightly under the Siemens umbrella until last year, when WorkWave came calling, at which point he found an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Saying “the passion and expertise of the WorkWave team have truly impressed me,” he started the job nearly one year ago and has set out to manage the company in his image.
At WorkWave, Kemmerer has brought great, positive changes, including notable C-Suite executives, namely John Phelan as Chief Technology Officer and Robbie Hobbs as Chief Product Officer, both appointed earlier this year. In February, Kemmerer announced the company’s Wavelytics AI tool during its annual Beyond Service User Conference in Dallas, boiling the reasoning down to a simple mantra. “What gets measured gets improved.” WorkWave is committed to bringing powerful data and AI tools to its customers across pest control, lawncare and landscaping, commercial cleaning and security, in an effort to help its customers increase operational efficiency and provide greater transparency across their business functions.
From Wall Street to Wavelytics, Kevin Kemmerer isn’t just measuring progress—he’s defining it.
