The big news: Technology conglomerate Siemens completed its acquisition of Altair, an industrial simulation and analysis company, for $10 billion. The company said that the acquisition would allow all Siemens customers, from engineers to generalists, to have access to new simulation expertise.
On the move: Voice AI company SoundHound appointed Shawnna DelHierro as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining SoundHound, DelHierro held CIO, CTO, and advisory roles at VSP Global, Visionworks, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Hoshizaki NA, and various private equity firms.
The buzz: AI technology company Coreweave went public on Friday, with its stock opening at $39 per share, slightly below expectations. It was nonetheless the largest tech IPO in the U.S. since 2021, according to CNBC.
On the rise: Private equity giant Bain Capital announced that it had a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Namirial, leading provider of digital transaction management software solutions, from Italian private equity firm Ambienta.
What’s next: Reuters reported that travel technology company Sabre is exploring a sale of its hospitality software unit SynXis, in a deal that could be worth $1 billion. The SynXis business currently generates about $300 million in annual revenue, per the report.
