Enterprise cloud applications leader Unit4 has unveiled an IDC InfoBrief titled "The Path to AI Everywhere: Exploring the Human Challenges," which highlights strategies for building an AI-driven workplace that prioritizes human-centric values. The report outlines a three-stage AI evolution—AI Assistants, AI Advisors, and AI Agents—each requiring distinct human skills to maximize productivity and foster innovation. While early stages focus on task automation and critical evaluation, the advanced stages emphasize expertise and innovation driven by AI orchestration. The study suggests that organizations must adopt an "AI DNA" framework, which includes fostering ethical AI usage, creating roles such as AI Orchestrators, and building a culture centered on expertise rather than traditional managerial skills.
Despite the potential of AI, challenges such as employee mistrust and fears of AI-driven layoffs persist. The InfoBrief underscores the need for organizations to invest in upskilling employees, emphasizing IT, leadership, and human skills such as creativity and empathy. Unit4’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, Claus Jepsen, emphasized the importance of pragmatic, human-centered AI adoption that complements human creativity. Serving over 5,100 customers globally, Unit4 is committed to providing ERP solutions that blend technological innovation with people-centric design, ensuring sustainable transformation in the evolving workplace.
